Effective December 06, 2007, the codeshare arrangement, which is currently applicable on Jet Airways operated flights from Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai to Brussels, will be extended to connecting Brussels Airlines operated services to Birmingham and Madrid.
This codeshare partnership will be expanded shortly to other European cities, such as Paris, Lyon, Vienna, and Berlin via Jet Airways hub in Brussels.
Jet Airways' Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Wolfgang Prock-Schauer said, "As the leading airlines of India and Belgium, our partnership will combine excellent service with world-class operations thus supporting our strategy of international growth. This mutually rewarding partnership will deliver several benefits to our customers such as a wider choice of destinations with excellent connections, frequent flyer benefits, seamless transfer and interline e-ticketing all of which we anticipate, will result in increased traffic and revenue opportunities."
Not only is Brussels the capital of the European Union, its physical location combined with Brussels Airlines' network, makes Jet Airways hub in Brussels the natural gateway to Europe and Africa.

Brussels further distinguishes itself as one of the most convenient and passenger friendly airports in Europe thanks to its multilingual staff and English signage.
India's tourism, business and educational ties with Europe are fast expanding, and through this partnership both partners, Jet Airways and Brussels Airlines, will be able to leverage their strengths and leadership position to tap the growing passenger traffic between the two countries.

With an average fleet age of 4.66 years, the airline has one of the youngest aircraft fleet in the world. Jet Airways operates over 350 flights daily.
